The Resona Group undertakes various initiatives to support community revitalization and enrich customers' lives based on a philosophy of growing together with the local community.

Supporting regional economic revitalization through the core banking business

In addition to supporting local businesses with funding, the Resona Group supports regional economic revitalization through such means as sale of regional investment funds that invest in the stocks of local companies, hosting a variety of business conferences, and offering business matching services.

Partnering with local communities

The Resona Group actively participates in local festivals and events. The Group helps enliven local culture through such means as hosting concerts and traditional Japanese comic storytelling in bank branches and allowing branch lobbies to be used as rest facilities during local festivals.
The Group also partners with local government bodies and universities. The Group is involved in numerous collaborations with universities, including internship programs and sponsorship of academic courses.

Reforming services in response to customer feedback

In response to customer complaints about long waiting times and branches closing at 15:00 o'clock, Resona Group banks have pioneered banking innovations such as extended branch hours, elimination of after-hours ATM fees, and branch redesign to reduce waiting times.

Helping build a more livable society for everyone

To support disabled people live independent lives, Resona Group banks have installed ATMs with accommodations for visually impaired users and equipped their branches with communication boards to allow verbally impaired customers to communicate via picture symbols. To further assist the visually impaired, the Group has been producing Braille calendars annually since 1982 and donating them to schools and organizations for the visually impaired throughout Japan.
