Although Kyodo News has reported today that Resona Holdings, Inc. is negotiating with SURUGA bank Ltd. with regard to our support for SURUGA bank Ltd., these reports are not based on information disclosed by Resona Holdings, Inc.

Resona group is considering various opportunities with the aim of pursuing further growth. However, we are not at all considering anything in this regard.
