The Resona Group has received strong praise from institutions around the world that evaluate ESG, and has been selected for inclusion in ESG indexes both in Japan, as well as outside of Japan.
We will continue working to enhance corporate value and to create a sustainable society, by helping to resolve the social issues represented in the SDGs.

Received the Bronze Prize at ESG Finance Awards Japan
Resona Asset Management received the Bronze Prize at the Ministry of the Environment’s inaugural ESG Finance Awards Japan in the investors category. The award recognizes the company’s contributions to environmental, social and governance (ESG) investments and engagement activities with the companies it invests in.

Received the Danjo Ikiiki Award under Osaka Prefecture’s Danjo Ikiiki Business Commendation Program
Resona Bank actively promotes diversity so that all people can play an active role in society by fully contributing their skills and abilities. In recognition of these efforts, we received the Danjo Ikiiki Award (recognizing companies where both men and women can work energetically), the highest recognition under Osaka Prefecture’s Danjo Ikiiki Business Commendation.

Resona Bank is a leader in promoting measures to resolve issues that sexual minority groups face. In recognition of these efforts, the bank received the highest 3-star verification as an Osaka City LGBT Leading Company.

Resona Holdings has been evaluated as a leader in measures for developing and promoting SDGs-related products (Principles for financial action [Principles for Financial Action for the 21st Century] towards a sustainable society), and was awarded the Minister of the Environment prize.

Receives Prime Ministerial Award and Minister of State Award for Special Missions (Gender Equality) of Awards for Women Empowering Companies
In order to promote the development of a workplace environment in which women can play an active role, the Awards for Women Empowering Companies are given to companies with outstanding policies, initiatives, and information disclosure regarding the promotion of women in executive and managerial positions. Saitama Resona Bank received the Prime Ministerial Award in 2018 and Resona Bank received the Minister of State Award for Special Missions (Gender Equality) in 2020 respectively.

Awarded the Highest Gold Rating in the PRIDE Index for 4 Consecutive Years
Resona Holdings has been awarded the Gold rating, the highest rating in the Pride Index for the fourth consecutive year, which evaluates the measures taken by companies towards LGBT and sexual minority groups.

Awarded the Mayor's Commendation as an Osaka City Leading Company in Women’s Participation
For the Mayor's Commendation as an Osaka City Leading Company in Women’s Participation, which is presented to organizations that are making a particularly outstanding effort among companies that are actively engaged in promoting women's activities and doing business in Osaka City, the Kansai Urban Bank has received the highest award, and Resona Bank and Kinki Osaka Bank have received the excellence award.

Selected as the White 500, Organizations with Excellent Health and Productivity Management (2018)
Resona Holdings has been selected for the White 500, which recognizes organizations with excellent health and productivity management practices, jointly administered by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Japan Health Council, as a corporate entity that strategically focuses on employees' health management from a management perspective. Furthermore, Resona Guarantee was recognized for its excellent health and productivity management practices in the SME category in 2018 and 2019, and Resona Holdings in the large corporation category in 2019.

Awarded the 2017 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology’s Commendation for Supporting Lifelong Learning Support Activities for Persons with Disabilities
The Re:Heart Club, a volunteer organization composed of employees from Resona Holdings and its group companies, has been recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as an organization supporting activities for diverse learning of people with disabilities as an exemplary model for others. For its achievements, the Resona Group was awarded the 2017 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology’s Commendation for Supporting Lifelong Learning Support Activities for Persons with Disabilities.

The Resona Kids Money Academy, run by the Resona Group, was awarded the Review Committee Encouragement Prize for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology’s Companies that Promote Youth Experience Activities Commendation, which recognizes companies with good practices for youth activities as a part of their social contributions.

Selected as a Nadeshiko Brand for 3 Consecutive Years
Resona Holdings was selected as a Nadeshiko Brand for 3 consecutive years. Nadeshiko Brands are jointly selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange, from listed companies that excel at promoting the greater involvement of women in the workplace as a means to increasing corporate value over the mid and long term. Additionally, Resona Holdings was selected as a semi-Nadeshiko Brand in 2018.

Resona Bank, Saitama Resona Bank, Kansai Mirai Bank and Minato Bank have acquired the Platinum Kurumin, which is given by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare to companies whose measures set a high standard for supporting a balance of work and childcare.
Obtained Eruboshi Certification, Certifying Mark for the Act to Promote Women’s Participation
Resona Bank, Saitama Resona Bank, and Kansai Mirai Bank have received Eruboshi Certification, given to companies that meet certain criteria based on the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare’s Act to Promote Women’s Participation.
Selected as Winner Company at Corporate Governance of the Year (R) 2015
Resona Holdings was selected as Winner Company at Corporate Governance of the Year, where the Japan Board of Directors recognizes companies that have achieved sound growth over the mid and long term using corporate governance.
