Calculation method
Figures denoted with ★ have been externally assured by KPMG AZSA Sustainability Co., Ltd.

Scope1
  • In principle, Scope 1 emissions are calculated using the emission factors specified in the GHG emissions accounting, reporting, and disclosure system administered by Japan's Ministry of the Environment, based on the Act on the Rational Use of Energy (Energy Conservation Act) and the Law Concerning the Promotion of the Measures to Cope with Global Warming (Global Warming Countermeasures Act).
  • Emissions associated with the use of vehicles are calculated based on gasoline consumption calculated from the cost of gasoline used and the national average unit price of gasoline.
Scope2
  • The figures for FY2019 are calculated by multiplying the basic emission factor of each electricity supplier.
  • Since FY2020, the figures are calculated by multiplying the basic and adjusted emission factors of each electricity supplier.
Scope3
  • Category 7: Emissions are calculated by multiplying the employee commuting cost for a year by the emissions coefficient specified in the Emissions Coefficients Database for Accounting for GHG Emissions throughout the Supply Chain, based on the Basic Guidelines on Accounting for Greenhouse Gas Emissions throughout the Supply Chain (Ver.2.4) (Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, March 2022).
